Alum (Phitkari) can be ingested in the form of Bhasma called as Sphatika Bhasma (Shudh phitkari). Alum (Sphatika) is heated in a pan until all the water evaporates. At the end of the process, white powder is collected which is known as Sphatika Bhasma (Shudh Phitkari)
